Crystal Stewart Robinson, MPA

Crystal Stewart Robinson, MPA is a former school administrator and Reading Specialist. For thirteen years she taught reading in a diverse range of middle, high school and post-secondary classrooms in New York and Georgia.

Ms. Robinson’s love of reading developed into a career in literacy and professional development. She believes that learning is a lifelong endeavor and educators must continuously strive to increase their knowledge and understanding along with the students they teach. Her expertise in reading and professional development led to her current involvement with Precious Cargo Educational Services, an educational consulting group specializing in reading skills for urban youth. As a Literacy Consultant, Ms. Robinson focuses on developing reading skills of under-achieving students in schools and school districts throughout the nation.

Ms. Robinson received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University at Stony Brook and a Master of Public Administration in Policy and Education from the University of West Georgia. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in Reading, Language and Literacy from Georgia State University. Ms. Robinson is a member of the International Reading Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Ms. Robinson is an advocate for integrating reading and technology through non-traditional instruction and promoting literacy development through professional learning as a mentor with the National Urban Alliance.
