Mary Kay Bacallao
An educator for over 20 years, Mary Kay Bacallao, Ed.D. has taught in public schools and both public and private universities. She was recognized in “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.” Her areas of expertise are math, science and educational technology. She was awarded technology grants from the U.S. Department of Education for over 1.2 million dollars.
Dr. Bacallao is currently working on a math basic facts game called Equals on which she has a patent. She also has a patent on a geometry puzzle named Quadrilateral Pieces. She is writing a book on the integration of science and math instruction.
Dr. Bacallao earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership in 1996 and continues to learn through graduate level classes and conferences. She is a professor of education in the Tift College of Education at Mercer University in Georgia. She is married to Aldo Bacallao and they have four children.
