In the Minneapolis West Metropolitan Education Program (Districts), after four years of NUA services, the district saw positive results in student performance.
- In 2006, students in grades 3 through 7 made three times the progress in both reading and mathematics than similar peers who did not participate in the WMEP/NUA Initiative.
- In 2009, 16 coaches were certified and endorsed by NUA as district staff developers, followed by 10 coaches in 2010. They continue to initiate and sustain leadership and professional development programs in those districts.
