As a youth, Pearson attended several different schools due to her family circumstances. She struggled to connect to school and her potential was often overlooked. It was not until her college experience at an HBCU that she was immersed in a Pedagogy of Confidence. There she became an educator and cultivated her passion. She carries this passion and her personal story with her as she works with other educators. She believes fiercely in the expectation that all students can learn and the work of the NUA and Dr. Yvette Jackson. She is a change agent with a powerful and unique ability to motivate and inspire those she works with.
